Looking down on Earth Zeus couldn’t believe what Odysseus was doing after what all the Gods and Goddesses did for him. Now he decides to spear Polyphemus’s eyeball. Odysseus irritates me so much. The only reason he got in trouble with Polyphemus is because he was being greedy, selfish, and trying to steal from the Cyclopes. Then when Odysseus and his men escaped Odysseus was taunting Polyphemus. When Polyphemus prayed that prayer to my brother Poseidon it made me want to help my brother and nephew get Odysseus back. So when Odysseus was at sea I threw a thunderbolt right at his ship. That thunderbolt destroyed Odysseus’s ship and killed everybody except Odysseus. I made sure Odysseus wasn’t killed so that he could suffer. Which is exactly what Polyphemus prayed for. I’m glad I did that for Polyphemus because he makes me so mad. This was very inappropriate for Odysseus to do. Another way Odysseus is irritating me is when he was praying to me and the other Gods and he feel asleep. Not only did he fall asleep praying to us. But he wasn’t being responsible and lost track of his men and they ate all of the cattle. That made me mad cause that was one of the things he was supposed to make sure didn’t happen. I felt bad for Odysseus when Argus his dog died. I also felt bad for him when Antinous was harassing him. But then it made me mad when my sister Athena kept helping Odysseus. She kept helping him strategize on how to get rid of all of the suitors. She also told him what to do and how to kill Antinous. That made me mad cause that mad it no fair for Antinous. I don’t think any of this was appropriate. I don’t know why Odysseus thought any of this would be okay.
Explanation of Colors and Music I used the colors blue and yellow because Zeus reminds me of a dark and scary person. But the yellow represents his lightning bolt. I used the song because it seems intense and scary. It also sounded cool.
